Same Old Rutgers
I’m pretty upset and/or depressed tonight. Rutgers dropped their first game of the season to Kent State by a score of 35-23 at home on Homecoming. If you’ve watched Rutgers football for an extended period of time you’ve seen this script play out before.
Year after year we think it’s going to get better but it never does. You can change the coaches or players but we get the same result over and over. This team is never going to win the Big East and is probably never going to win a BCS game. It is unacceptable to lose to Kent State at Homecoming.
The worst part was all three phases of the game were awful. Gary Nova somehow played long enough to throw six interceptions. The defense was horrendous and special teams were a disaster. It was like no one cared at all. Where is the senior leadership? They didn’t learn after the loss to Connecticut last season?
It’s so frustrating watching this team. Yeah, we can still win the Big East but after watching today does anyone really believe that? The Big East is a joke and everyone in the country knows it. Do you see anyway we’ll be able to compete with Boise State when they join next year?
The only players that looked like they wanted to be on the field were Jawan Jamison, Scott Vallone and Miles Shuler so for them I give credit. Honestly Miles Shuler needs to see the field a whole lot more than he does right now.
