Rutgers to the Big Ten
Rutgers is rumored to be joining the Big Ten Conference tomorrow after Maryland joined today. I’m not sure if they’re going to re-name the conference as they will have 14 members. As a Rutgers fan, I’m pumped about this as the Big East has essentially been turned to nothing.
I feel bad for the schools that will be joining next year but Rutgers had to do what is best for them. They will get more exposure and more money coming into the University. The Big Ten also has a very good reputation for academics so Rutgers will fit in nicely.
It’s going to be great having Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Penn State, etc all visit Piscataway if/when this becomes finalized. I was a season ticket holder for two seasons so I might have to get back on that list.
