Patriot Week
We are heading into week seven of the NFL season and it has come to Patriots week for the Jets. There normally is a lot of hype going into this game but there hasn’t been much said so far. It probably is the fact that both teams have been mediocre at 3-3 on the season.
The Jets are coming off a 35-9 win at home against the Colts while the Pats were beaten in Seattle by the Seahawks on Sunday. The Pats opened up as 11.5 point favorites which seems pretty steep to me. I’m guessing Las Vegas feels the Patriots are going to beat us pretty good.
The key for the game is going to come down to the run game. If the Jets can run the ball like they did on the Colts we have a great shot of winning the game. The scary part to me is how we stop the Patriots offense. We haven’t had a pass rush all season except for the last game against the Colts. If we sit back and give Brady time to throw it will be a long afternoon.
The Patriots have been running the ball effectively all season up until last game. We’ve also had trouble stopping the run except for the past week so we’re going to find out if last week was a true sense of both teams. We don’t normally play well in Foxboro but we need to get a split the next two games against AFC East opponents. We play Miami at home after the Pats.
