Nets Win Again
The Nets moved to a ½ game behind the Knicks for the top spot in the Atlantic Division tonight after they defeated the Timberwolves 91-83. The Nets improved to 26-16 on the season and continue to pile up the wins since P.J. Carlesimo took over as the coach. They are 12-2 since the team fired Avery Johnson.
Brook Lopez scored 22 points to lead the team and moved closer to making his first ever All-Star team. The reserves will be announced tomorrow. Deron Williams and Joe Johnson each scored 18 in the win as well.
C.J. Watson played a great fourth quarter as he scored nine of his 14 points. Every time the Timberwolves would get close Watson would answer with a big shot. The Timberwolves cut the lead to three points but could never get over the hump.
The Nets continue their road trip Friday night in Memphis to take on the Grizzlies.
