Jets win big
The Jets got back in the win column yesterday with an impressive 35-9 victory over the Colts at home. The story of the game was Shonn Greene. The Jets running game in general has been taking a lot of criticism this year and especially Greene. He broke out yesterday with three touchdowns and 161 yards on 32 carries.
The team ran for 252 yards overall but also lost Bilal Powell and Joe McKnight to injuries. It is being reported that Powell will be out with a separated shoulder. They need to hope that McKnight can go next week in a big game against the Patriots. The entire AFC East stands at 3-3 right now after wins by the Bills and Dolphins yesterday. The Pats lost to the Seahawks on the road.
Mark Sanchez completed 11 of 18 passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns. He threw five-yard touchdown passes to Stephen Hill and Jason Hill in the second quarter. The Jets led 21-6 at halftime.
The Jets defense pressured Andrew Luck all day picking him off twice and sacking him four times. Antonio Cromartie and Ellis Lankster had the interceptions off Luck. Quinton Coples had his best game as a professional collecting 1.5 sacks, two quarterback hits, four tackles and one tackle for loss. Mo Wilkerson and Antonio Allen each had a sack while Aaron Maybin was credited with a half sack.
