Jets GM Search

New York Jets, Woody Johnson
The Jets continue their General Manager search with the interviews expected to end on Friday. They have been linked to Tom Gamble, Tom Heckert, David Caldwell and Marc Ross. Gamble works in the 49ers organization, Heckert was just fired from the Browns; Caldwell is with the Falcons and Ross with the Giants.

I really couldn’t tell you who should be the best fit for the team but whoever it is has to be adept at the draft and the salary cap. The Jets need to hit on the 2013 NFL Draft where they will have the ninth pick. They need a huge upgrade on the offensive side of the ball and they should be able to get a playmaker at that spot.

It will be interesting to see if the new general manager is going to keep Rex Ryan. You would have to think they would have to as staffs are being put together right now. I think Ryan deserves one more year as changing coaches every four years has not worked.
