Jets drop another
The New York Jets stumbled their way to a 28-7 defeat in Seattle to the Seahawks yesterday. The Jets offense was awful as they were held scoreless. The Jets defense managed to score their only touchdown when Muhammad Wilkerson returned a fumble 21 yards to tie the game at 7.
Mark Sanchez was dreadful as he threw another interception in the redzone and added a fumble for good measure. He completed 9 of 22 passes for 124 yards.
The Jets were in position to go up 10-7 or 14-7 when he was intercepted by Richard Sherman trying to connect with Dustin Keller at the goal line. How he hasn’t been benched is beyond anyone’s train of thought. He is way worse now than his rookie year and it’s now getting any better.
Special teams allowed the Seahawks to go up 14-7 after Jeremy Kerley dropped a punt. It was his second of the season. He really shouldn’t be returning punts but that is the Jets for you. The defense played very well until the fourth quarter when they ran out of gas from being on the field the whole game. I can’t imagine what it must be like for our defense watching the offense take the field.
The Jets are now 3-6 on the season with no hope of improving. The only thing they should be playing for is a top pick in the draft. They play in St. Louis to take on the Rams this weekend.
